Choosing a marketing agency for a professional services firm
What to ask a marketing agency before hiring them for a professional services firm, and why understanding confidentiality and trust matters as much as creative skill.

Prospective clients checking a consultant or firm's LinkedIn presence are looking for evidence of real expertise, not confirmation that the firm exists. Generic posts fail to move that needle, while specific, opinionated commentary on real developments in the field does.
Generic 'we are proud to announce our new office' posts and stock-image motivational content do little to build the specific trust a client is checking for. If a post could have been written by any competing firm, it is not differentiating you.
A prospective client checking your LinkedIn page wants proof of expertise, not proof the page exists.
One substantive post a week from a named partner, focused on a real question or development, outperforms daily generic posting and is realistic for a firm without a dedicated marketing team.
Post specific, opinionated commentary on developments in your field rather than generic 'we are proud to announce' updates.
