Pharma & Life Sciences

Formulators and CDMOs looking for a second API source start with a molecule name. That search should lead to your grades, specifications and documents.

The problem

What makes this sector different

Procurement and regulatory teams at formulators and CDMOs qualify a supplier through samples, document review and audits, and changing an approved API source can mean filing a variation with their own regulator. Buyers are slow to switch and quick to drop a supplier whose specifications or documents look incomplete. Promotion in India also falls under the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act 1954 and under Rule 106 and Schedule J of the Drugs Rules 1945, which bar a drug from claiming to prevent or cure the diseases listed there. Every claim on a product page has to match what your records support.

How the decision gets made. Procurement usually shortlists a supplier, then regulatory affairs and quality qualify it through document review, samples, trial batches and often an audit. Indian buyers check the manufacturing or wholesale drug licence you hold, issued by the state licensing authority, and, where it applies, compliance with the revised Schedule M. For a new API source, an overseas buyer may also need its own regulator to approve the change before quality and procurement sign off together.

What each discipline does for pharma & life sciences

A pharma supplier is approved in stages. Procurement shortlists, regulatory affairs reads the documents, quality audits the source, and business development keeps the buyer engaged through samples and trial batches. Our branding, website, marketing and systems work is built around each of those hand-offs, from the first molecule search to the audit visit.

Branding & Identity

A company profile and CoA layout that hold up at an audit

A quality auditor reads your certificate of analysis, technical data sheet and company profile long before any site visit. We give those documents, your trade-show stands and email signatures one identity, so an API maker, CDMO or distributor looks the same from first sample to audit. Positioning is written around what you actually make or source, your chemistry or dosage-form strengths and the markets you supply.

  • Positioning around your molecules, chemistry and markets
  • Layout system for CoAs, technical data sheets and specifications
  • Company profile and trade-show stand graphics

Web Design & UI/UX

Catalogues buyers can filter by molecule, grade and dosage form

A buyer looking for a second source usually arrives with a molecule name or CAS number. We design a catalogue filtered by molecule, therapeutic category, grade and dosage form, and each product page states which documents exist, such as a CoA, a TDS, or a DMF or CEP where you have filed one. Request forms capture company, country and intended use before your regulatory affairs team decides what to share.

  • Searchable molecule and product catalogue
  • Document and sample request forms with an NDA step
  • Capability pages for your manufacturing sites or sourcing and quality process

Digital Marketing

Search campaigns built on molecule names and CAS numbers

We build SEO pages around the terms buyers type, such as a molecule name with 'API manufacturer' or 'CDMO for oral solids'. Google Ads run on molecule terms only where Google's healthcare and medicines policy allows, because some drug and API names are restricted or disapproved. LinkedIn campaigns reach procurement and regulatory affairs roles at formulators, and pre-show emails offer a meeting and name the grades and documents you will bring.

  • Molecule-level SEO, and Google Ads where Google's healthcare and medicines policy allows the terms
  • LinkedIn campaigns for procurement and regulatory affairs roles
  • Pre-show meeting emails with a TDS and CoA pack

Digital Transformation

Document requests answered before a buyer's qualification deadline

A buyer's qualification deadline can pass while its request for a CoA, a specification or a DMF letter of authorisation sits unanswered in a shared inbox. We set up a CRM, open-source where it fits, that logs each request against the molecule, the NDA, the documents sent and the date promised. Quality sees sample and audit dates, and when a specification or source changes, the record shows which customers must be notified.

  • Request log linking molecules, NDAs and documents sent
  • Deadline reminders for document, sample and audit commitments
  • Customer list by molecule for change notifications

Our approach

How we work in pharma & life sciences

01

We build a catalogue that lists each molecule by name, CAS number, grade and pharmacopoeia standard, such as IP, BP, USP or Ph. Eur., with the documents a buyer can request against each item.

02

We put requests for DMF, CEP or dossier access, where you have filed them, behind a form with an NDA step, so your regulatory affairs team checks the company before anything is shared.

03

Before pharma trade shows, we build meeting lists from a B2B database of exhibitors at the CPHI pharma trade event, which we compile independently and sell. Fibvo is not affiliated with CPHI. Each invitation names the molecules and grades on offer, and the follow-up carries a TDS and CoA pack.

04

We check product pages, ads and emails before they go live against the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act 1954 and against Rule 106 and Schedule J of the Drugs Rules 1945, and apply the UCPMP 2024 where you promote finished formulations to healthcare professionals.

Questions

Pharma & Life Sciences marketing, answered

Which Indian advertising laws apply to an API or formulation website?
The Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act 1954 bars advertisements claiming a drug treats the diseases and conditions it lists. Rule 106 and Schedule J of the Drugs Rules 1945 bar a drug from claiming to prevent or cure the diseases listed there. If you promote finished formulations to doctors, the UCPMP 2024 also applies. We write for trade buyers, keep claims to what your CoAs and specifications support, and hold back any claim your regulatory affairs team has not approved.
Should regulatory documents such as DMFs be downloadable from the website?
Usually not. We list the documents you have, such as a CoA, a TDS, or a DMF or CEP where you have filed one, and put requests behind a form that records who is asking. Your regulatory affairs team checks the company and shares documents under an NDA where needed, and business development gets a named contact instead of an anonymous download.
Our buyers are a small, specialised group of companies. Is digital marketing worth it for us?
It is when it is aimed narrowly. We target named companies and roles on LinkedIn, write search pages for the molecules and grades you supply, and time emails to the trade shows those buyers attend. Broad awareness campaigns rarely suit a buyer group this small.
